Bracha was the Chief Scientist of the Israeli Ministry of Energy; the public representative board member of the Israeli Electricity Authority; a member of the Israeli Natural Gas Council; and a member of the National Council for Advancement of Women in Science and Technology.

Dr. Halaf holds a Ph.D in Biophysics from the Weizmann Institute of Science, and an M.Sc. & B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Bracha is also a lecturer at the Reichman University on technological innovation for climate change and a mentor at Google for Startups Accelerator.
